SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAMS
For nearly a century, the YMCA has led the way as the nation's largest and most respected provider of summertime activities for youth. Based on our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, YMCA day camps allow your child to grow in a fun, nurturing environment. From child care to youth sports to a more rustic experience, we have a camp for you!
All camps at the North Richmond YMCA Community Center require a $25 Community Membership fee (for all new child care or camp participants) or a YMCA Facility membership. All camps require a $25 non-transferable/non-refundable registration fee.
Camp time is 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Wrap-around care from 7:00 am to 8:30 am and 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm is available for a fee of $9 per week. This fee includes breakfast.
Little Explorers Preschool Camp
Ages: 2.5 - 5, Must be potty trained. Give your preschooler the ultimate summer experience! Educational activities combined with field trips, swimming, art and science programs. Campers are encouraged to explore ways to work as individuals and together as a team to resolve problems, build relationships and have fun! You may attend all summer or choose between 10 sessions.
Fees: $115 - Facility Members, $130 - Community Members
Wrap-Around: $9 per camper per week
(A one-time registration fee of $25 is required.)
Camp YAdventure School Age Camp
Ages: K -5th graders. Swimming, field trips, arts music and sports - a summer of adventure for your school age child. Open up your child's world to new adventures and experiences. You may prefer your child to attend all summer or choose from 10 sessions.
Fees: $110- Facility Members, $150 - Community Members
Wrap-Around: $9 per camper per week
(A one-time registration fee of $25 is required.)
Teen Xtreme Camp
Ages: 13-16 years. Give your teen an enriching summer experience building confidence and leadership skills through service learning projects, field trips and special events. You may attend all summer or choose between 10 sessions.
Fees: $135 - Facility Members, $175 - Community Members
Wrap-Around: $9 per camper per week

YMCA CAMP THUNDERBIRD OUTDOOR CENTER
For a more rustic camp experience, check out YMCA Camp Thunderbird Outdoor Center. For more than 40 years, YMCA Camp Thunderbird has provided fun and enriching activities in an outdoor environment. Located in Central Chesterfield on the edge of Swift Creek and Pocahontas State Park, YMCA Camp Thunderbird boasts 100 acres of wooded beauty. Our six-acre centerpiece, Lake George, provides a timeless backdrop for the YMCA Camp Thunderbird experience. We provide FREE bus stops throughout the Greater Richmond community offering this truly unique experience to as many children as possible.
